After a few days of production knitting, I am feeling a bit burned out. I know my trip to Maiwa today will perk me right up. Toni and I have planned to hit 16th Avenue today to take in the full miles of cherry blossoms, finally ready and lining the streets.
After that we will be worshiping at the shrine and I will be adding to my book and dye collection. It doesn’t hurt that there is also an organic coffee roaster around the corner for me to have a little something…..
I had to go through a lot of photos as well just to find media photos to submit with my contract for Circle Craft….and while looking for those, found this..which is not a media photo, but just one that really captures spinning for me, colour, movement and solitude. I think I’ll blow this up and put it in the studio….
I wish I could take you all to Maiwa with me, but then I might have to fight you for fibre, and it could get ugly….and well…I just want you to never see the ugly, greedy, hording fibre side of me.
You mean just plain burned, right? How is that sunburn now? I’m glad that you have an adventure awaiting to recharge your batteries. I think you should take a photo of all the loot you come home with!
Carmen, thanks for the great visit yesterday. I got to touch and see your handspun/hand dyed in person and it’s truely lovely. Love your spinning shot too.
